I suddenly miss listening to this track. The song that introduced me to Son Dam Bi. I really hope to see her produce a chart-topping music that is ten times better than her previous works.

The Lucky One

Last book I've read...

The Lucky One (2008)
Author: Nicholas Sparks
Rating: 5/5

My favorite Nicholas Sparks book after, A Walk To Remember.

Book Description:
When U.S. Marine Logan Thibault finds a photograph of a smiling young woman half-buried in the dirt during his third tour of duty in Iraq, his first instinct is to toss it aside. Instead, he brings it back to the base for someone to claim, but when no one does, he finds himself always carrying the photo in his pocket. Soon Thibault experiences a sudden streak of luck—winning poker games and even surviving deadly combat that kills two of his closest buddies. Only his best friend, Victor, seems to have an explanation for his good fortune: the photograph—his lucky charm.
Back home in Colorado, Thibault can’t seem to get the photo—and the woman in it—out of his mind. Believing that she somehow holds the key to his destiny, he sets out on a journey across the country to find her, never expecting the strong but vulnerable woman he encounters in Hampton, North Carolina—Elizabeth, a divorced mother with a young son—to be the girl he’s been waiting his whole life to meet. Caught off guard by the attraction he feels, Thibault keeps the story of the photo, and his luck, a secret. As he and Elizabeth embark upon a passionate and all-consuming love affair, the secret he is keeping will soon threaten to tear them apart—destroying not only their love, but also their lives.
Filled with tender romance and terrific suspense, The Lucky One is Nicholas Sparks at his best—an unforgettable story about the surprising paths our lives often take and the power of fate to guide us to true and everlasting love.

The Message In A Bottle

Last book I've read...

The Message In A Bottle (1998)
Author: Nicholas Sparks
Rating: 4/5

Book Description:
Thrown to the waves, and to fate, the bottle could have ended up anywhere. Instead, it is found just three weeks after it begins its journey. Theresa Osborne, divorced and the mother of a twelve-year-old son, discovers it during a seaside vacation from her job as a Boston newspaper columnist. Inside is a letter that opens with, "My Dearest Catherine, I miss you my darling, as I always do, but today is particularly hard because the ocean has been singing to me, and the song is that of our life together." For Garrett, the message is the only way he knows to express his undying love for a woman he has lost. For Theresa, wary of romance since her husband shattered her trust, the message raises questions that intrigue her. Challenged by the mystery, and driven to find Garrett by emotions she does not fully understand, Theresa begins a search that takes her to a sunlit coastal town and an unexpected confrontation. Brought together either by chance or something more powerful, Theresa and Garrett's lives come together in a tale that resonates with our deepest hopes for finding everlasting love. Shimmering with suspense and emotional intensity, Message in a Bottle takes readers on a hunt for the truth about a man and his memories, and about both the heartbreaking fragility and enormous strength of love. For those who cherished The Notebook and readers waiting to discover the magic of Nicholas Sparks's storytelling, here is an achingly lovely novel of happenstance, desire, and the choices that matter most.

Disney's Songstress

Miley and Demi are both fantabulous!

I prefer Miley with this genre rather than her "Party In The USA" piece. It's a bit unfortunate though that her talent as a singer is being overshadowed by her little scandals, but nonetheless, she's still a great performer.

Aside from Miley Cyrus, I also like Demi Lovato. She has easily become one of my favorites after hearing "Lightweight". I'm so impressed with the quality of her voice, and I love almost all of her songs. "Skyscraper" did not disappoint, but its "Aftershock" that turned me into a total Demi fanatic.

This song makes my heart pump---wild!

Gangnam Style

Never did I imagine that I'll like this song, but reality bites, and I do like, I love it.. a lot! ~oppa gangnam style! baby~

I prefer this version with Hyuna compared to Psy's solo.

One More Night

Still awake, and now streaming Maroon 5's hits

At 5:21, what am I possibly doing that is better than sleeping?Music Marathon. I'm having a blast listening to Yeng, she's good! It feels different if the singer's composing songs. You'll always wonder if she wrote any of the songs that you're listening to, and you'll end up over analyzing each lyrics, and before you knew it, you've fallen deeply in love with the song. tsk

The Mistress

Last movie I saw...

The Mistress (2012)
Directed by: Olivia Lamasan

John Lloyd Cruz
Bea Alonzo

I was so excited to see the week's most talked reunion of Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz in an unconventional plot, ever since I saw the film's poster last week. I'd even talked about it with my housemates, and I was told what the plot was like, based from its trailer. So I'm so hype to watch it, because it's Bea and Loydi, its the best love team(I assume?any violent reaction?) there's no reason for me not to be thrilled, right?! I'm pretty sure that everyone can still remember "One More Chance", the film that flooded the country in tears, especially of my generation.

And I was really expecting a lot from this movie, but not only because of the actors and the intriguing title, but also because it's produced by Star Cinema, whom I considered to be hit makers. However, I started to have doubts with its quality after seeing the trailer. I'm not really impressed on how the characters were presented, or maybe I'm just not visually satisfied on whose portraying it. I was disturbed on how heavy Bea looked from those scenes(Didn't she lose weight? Because I totally thought that she's thinner now)& I'm surprised on how unattractive Loydi had become in my eyes.(effect of his scandals?maybe)

Anyway, I was able to lure one of my best pals, Kim, in watching it in theater. I really thought that I would be disappointed, but apparently I appreciate it. At first the chemistry was a bit shaky, acting was too obvious, instead of the realistic acting, plot was quite predictable, then somewhere in the middle, my views started to changed. The actors were able to pull off their characters especially the leads. Bea transformed into a very attractive seamstress and I can't take my eyes of Loydi till the end of the story.

The maturity of this film, reminds me of In The Name Of Love, from the intense plot, the mellow background music and even shared same unrealistic setting. I can say that this is a good film, it made me cry and sympathize with the characters especially with Bea's character. Bea really stepped up in her acting as "Sari"(?)/"Sally"(?,whatever), she's so effective with her role that she made me cry a couple of times. Loydi on the other hand was consistent with his performance, its not bad and not his best, but its as good as his previous works. Acting wise, the cast exerted an above average performance, and K Brosas deserves to be commended with her timing punchlines(haha!winner!), as well as the scene stealer child actor, "Mamon"(he's so cute!).

Technically, I also like the cinematography though there's really nothing special about it, but the shots were too good to ignore. Music scoring was ok, but I was hoping that they will produced an original Tagalog composition for the story instead of using "Chasing Cars"(I like the song but it just seems off, if you'll hear it from the film)

Overall, the film is beyond my expectation. I'm convinced that it's good, but I prefer if Star Cinema will produce another relatable film like One More Chance, the realistic it is, the better.

ANTM British Invasion LSS

I'm certainly an ANTM addict. But I haven't watched all of its cycle yet, so that's one of my target for 2012. But for now, I'm really entertained of the "British Invasion" of cycle 18 especially to their songs. (I wanna pop my tooch, but ain't no hoochie-tooch!)

Whew! Finally, after almost two months of hiatus, I can now go back on nailing my personal zone. Last June, I encountered a what I thought was a minor issue, but actually a major problem, as we need to replaced Sherlock's LCD. And it's really annoying, because its something that can be done for 10 minutes, but it took ages and wasted my energy on anticipating for hell-know-how-long Sherlock will be fix. And I'm just so happy because today is that day. Everyone, Sherlock's back!(grinning from ear to ear)

It's a bit upsetting though, because these past few weeks that Sherlock was under repair, I experienced massive issues that I'm really looking forward to be shared in real time. But I'll definitely write those issues even if I have to trace back the dates on when the event transpired. I always have this vision of going thru my posts someday, and feeling so grateful that I was able to document those pieces of events that will remind me of how I feel at that moment. I'm hoping that I can do that tonight, because I still have a couple of things to do such as defragmenting Sherlock's system & pursuing one of my girlfriends for a movie date. (wink!)
